Jan. 23rd, 2006 03:51 pmi've been reading wikipedia all day instead of working. it's weird how many places i've been led on there today alone. i started on denmark and somehow ended up at cuisine of the united states at one point.
i sort of understand the east coast pizza superiority issue now, and why, when alli and i lived together, i was baffled by a lot of her food choices. since i was raised on mostly california and southern cuisine. omgggg i want some black eyed peas.
the reason i looked up denmark was because i got this show called the kingdom off netflix, which is a danish show about a haunted hospital. there's some big cheese surgeon guy on there who is a swede, and so far at the end of each show he goes out on this balcony and raises his fists and shakes them and yells to himself how superior the swedes are to the danes and 'danish scum!' and all this stuff. it's kind of entertaining. and weird. now i am craving the swedish crepes my dad's ex used to make. i wish i had learned how to make them.
also i found goth on netflix, which sounds so bad(good):
There's much more to the Goth scene than meets the eye, at least in this dark and chilling film about teenagers who worship the musical genre -- but get more than they bargained for when they seek out the lifestyle that goes along with it. While rocking out at a club, the teens meet Goth (Phoebe Dollar) herself, a mysterious femme fatale who embodies the sex-fueled, violent world they've just entered.
i promptly put it at the top of my queue.
